Verbal Bullying
What is Verbal Bullying:
Verbal bullying is when the bully uses words to gain power over a victim and put people down. Bullies use statements and name-calling and the bullies choose their victims based on the way they look, act or behave, commonly kids with special needs. Verbal bullying is one of the hardest forms of bullying to identify because it mostly doesn't happens around adults. verbal bullying is mainly at it highest in high school because that were most students are not sure who they are and doesn't have high confidences in themselves.
Signs of verbal bullying:
Signs of verbal bullying is that the victim is sending alot of time alone avoiding people and not wanting to go to school. The person is withdrawn and cries alot or they could just be withdrawn and not the same as the use to be but most don't see these signs because verbal bullying is so hard to identify.
effects of verbal:
Although verbal bullying is hard to see it has the largest emotional scar left on the victim. some might go into depression and lose all their self-confident, It can effect how someone see themselves, and affect someone in emotional and psychological ways. victims might start believing what the bullies are saying and try to change their image and most of the time not in a good way. In some extreme the victim can get so depressed that they want to escape so badly that they start cutting themselves and in really extreme cases the victim ends their life so they can stop the pain, the suffering. most bullies don't know they are doing that much damaged to their victims because it so hard to see.
How deal with verbal bullying and stop it:
Most people tell the victim to ignore the bully but sometimes that is not enough because the bullying is so out of hand it has already effect the victim. the most effective way is to tell a adult an seek help to deal with the damage that already has happened.
